Yo-Zuri Egi Aurie-Q “RS” Squid Jig

The Yo-zuri A1604 EGI Auria-Q “RS” Squid Jigs are designed as an Egi style squid jig. What that means is they are keel weighed and are a sinking style jig. The A1604 features a rough sided cloth jacket which offers durability but also makes squid hold on better when they attack the lure. This style can be used; however it is not designed to be fished on a hi/lo or sabiki style 2/3/4 lure configuration.

Egi squid fishing is a style of squid fishing in Japan which is a cast and retrieve style approach. It’s just like casting a single lure jig. Fish it with a slow retrieve and an occasional jerk and fall. This style squid jig tends to be most effective for catching squid with a land based situation where there is not heavy current. For example in a marine or a night time lit area where squid are present.
