If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. Blizzard didn’t perform an ounce of surgery on their quiver-of-one AT ski outside of shiny new graphics. Good thing, too, because the Rustler 10 already owns the mountain, from bumps to pow to corduroy. It does it all, in any condition, in any terrain, at any time.

Blizzard coupled two integral concepts to create a freeride beast with a 100mm waist. First, Carbon Flipcore Dynamic Release Technology (that’s a mouthful) reduces the torsional rigidity in tip and tail and adds a layer of Titanal in the binding area, adding further stability and control underfoot for improved rebound, playfulness, and flotation in softer snow. Second, Blizzard uses an innovative waist design – the longer the ski, the wider the waist – to give freeriders even more control and float, even on the steeps.

What does all this technical mumbo jumbo mean? It means that the appeal of this ski lies in its ability to shine in just about every aspect, outside of the deepest powder. It’ll tear up carved turns, lay trenches at speed, and let those lighter tips and tails shine in the tree and in the back bowls. Expert skiers will especially enjoy turning the volume to 11, allowing the Rustler 10 to unleash its underfoot power.
