BBright Bottom Bracket for Shimano
BBright is the Cervlo bottom bracket standard found on most frames. To fit Shimano and FSA cranks into this oversized shell, this bottom bracket, complete with CeramicSpeed Bearings, must be pressed in.
The BBright bottom bracket comes with either CeramicSpeed Standard or Coated Bearings installed. Super smooth, super round CeramicSpeed Balls contained in hardened-steel races are found on both versions. The Coated version has a metallic coating on the races, making it even smoother and more complex, resulting in lower drag and longer life.
In The Box
- 1 bottom bracket with bearings installed.
- 2 dust covers.
- All Round Grease.
- Sticker sheet.
Technical Data
BBright is similar to BB30 but is wider on the non-drive side. As such, the bottom bracket for running 24mm diameter thru-axle cranks from Shimano, FSA, and others, is unique.
The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings last three times longer than other bearings. Thanks to hardened-steel races and CeramicSpeed Balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. These have a frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set, representing an average 75% drag reduction compared to most bb’s.
The CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings reduce drag by 50% compared to CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings and have an improvement in bearing life of 60%.
The grease that comes installed can be changed. All Round Grease is standard but can be replaced for lower drag Race Day Grease or higher durability Long Life Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in when riding through muddy conditions.
What is Coated?
A lifetime warranty covers our coated products. The unique coating formula is a metallic layer that covers the bearing races and makes them 75% harder than steel. Thanks to this, they are highly resistant to corrosion, and the coating provides even lower friction than our standard bearings. Even if the bearing is contaminated with degreaser, water, or mud, the risk of bearing failure due to corrosion is negligible if you choose the coated version.
