This wheelset provides top Mavic technologies. Straight pull spokes, solid rims with 17 mm internal width, rear-wheel with FTS-L freehub, and easily serviceable cartridge bearings. At a very attractive price, the Aksium will make any bike better.

Features straight-pull spokes for added strength and stiffness, and lightweight rims for lively ride quality. The rims are wider, which allows for increased air volume and a better fit for larger diameter tires (up to 32mm).

The hubs are incredibly tough, delivering high mileage and long-lasting dependability. And the QRM bearings are the smoothest in the category. It all adds up to a wheelset that delivers the high-quality ride that Mavic is known for.

• FTS-L (Force Transfer System Light) – The reinforcement of the key transmission components brings a lighter and stronger hub to allow the energy to flow freely to the entire wheel.
• QRM (Qualit de Roulements Mavic) – Mavic only uses high-quality sealed cartridge bearings. On QRM wheels, they feature double sealing (2RS or LLU) together with tight C3 internal clearance.
• UB Control (Usin Brut Control) – The braking surfaces are precisely CNC machined. Improves braking friction and eliminates shuddering when braking.
• H2 (Hammer Hardening) – Local strengthening of the rim in the area where the spokes exert the greatest stress. Improves rim’s life expectancy and resistance to micro cracking.
