With a variance in width of just a single centimetre from rim to hub, the Super-9 is almost invisible to the wind. Plus the wide rim creates a virtually seamless integration with the tire, optimizing aerodynamics and allowing wider tires and less rolling resistance.

The Zipp Super-9 wheel was designed to meet the needs of the most demanding track riders. It offers stiffness, efficient aerodynamics and excellent power transfer at a lightweight. It remains flat from its widest point to the hub. This relatively simple-looking shape makes for a fast and stiff wheel. The Super-9 features Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control (ABLC) technology, which attenuates airflow over the rim surface for even more air penetration.
